That's why we're building Bento, to give modern software companies the system to design engaging and collaborative adoption workflows, without needing to build or maintain it in-house.
Now, Bento is hiring a senior front-end engineer to own critical parts of our user-facing product. You'll be working with our engineering team along with our designer. As a small team, this is a critical and high impact role in a fast moving environment. Our ideal teammate moves quickly, enjoys the full span of engaging with users, defining product UX, architecting, and implementing to learn and validate product value.
Bento is backed by top investors including Y Combinator and General Catalyst, and is fully distributed. This role is remote and open to anyone working within EST or PST timezones.
This role
Tackle complex topics related to our embedded product experience including:
Performance – ensuring our customers are able to show the most effective activation experiences at the right time
Orchestration logic – managing a wide range of possible experiments that our customers have constructed to deliver the most optimal experience to the end user
Managing for the complexity of different browsers and customer front-end applications, while creating a simple and scalable experience
As a senior member of our technical staff, shape how we think about engineering culture, tech innovation and scalability, as well as help grow our team.
As part of an early stage team, you'll sometimes wear multiple hats including working with our customers. We think the best team members view this as fun and an opportunity for impact.
Skills & cultural fit
Experiences building highly performant and secure applications and comfort with early stage startup life
5+ years of modern front-end engineering experience. We’re looking for someone to continue to level-up our existing team of fullstack engineers.
Expertise with our front-end stack: TypeScript, React, GraphQL and experience with modern JavaScript tooling and testing.
Preferable if you have experience building software at a fast growing startup and are comfortable making the judgement call on when to ship a v1 and when to double down for extensibility.
