About Zip Security

Enterprise cybersecurity is broken. Current annual cybersecurity spending is roughly $150B, with most enterprises spending heavily to deploy, manage, and configure hundreds of different tools for marginal security benefit. At Zip, our goal is to build software that makes enterprise cybersecurity reasonable — reducing bloat by bundling and configuring opinionated security tooling, and synchronizing everything from device management to application security under one central pane of glass.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Account Manager to own and grow our customer relationships post-sale. This is a founding role focused on driving renewals, expansion, and long-term customer value.

You’ll manage a portfolio of customers and be responsible for retention, identifying opportunities to expand accounts, mitigating churn risk, and building strong, trusted relationships.

This role is ideal for someone who is commercially minded, relationship-driven, and excited to help build the Account Management function from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

  • Own a book of business

    • Manage a portfolio of mid-market and/or enterprise customers

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all commercial conversations

  • Drive renewals

    • Manage the full renewal lifecycle, from early risk identification to close

    • Accurately forecast and consistently hit renewal targets

  • Identify and close expansion opportunities

    • Partner with customers to uncover new use cases and growth opportunities

    • Lead upsell and cross-sell motions to increase account value

  • Build strong customer relationships

    • Develop multi-threaded relationships across stakeholders

    • Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor

  • Collaborate cross-functionally

    • Work closely with Sales, Product, and Support to drive customer outcomes

    • Ensure alignment across teams to maximize retention and growth

  • Help build the AM function

    • Contribute to playbooks, processes, and tooling

    • Bring structure to account planning, renewals, and expansion strategy

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Strategic AM, or quota-carrying roles with expansion ownership

  • Proven track record of:

    • Driving renewals and net revenue retention

    • Closing upsells and expansions

  • Comfortable owning commercial conversations

    • Pricing, packaging, and contract negotiations

  • Experience managing mid-market or enterprise accounts

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
