Job Description – Insurance Specialist

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 5-6 years in Insurance

Industry: E-commerce x Insurance

Key Responsibilities:

Insurance Management:

• Handle end-to-end insurance matters, including Employee Insurance, Rider Insurance, and other General Liability Insurance.
• Manage Fire Insurance, Marine Insurance, and other general insurance products.

Policy Renewal & Negotiations:

• Lead negotiations with insurance companies and brokers for policy renewals and premium optimizations.
• Ensure timely renewal of policies with appropriate coverage and cost efficiency.

Claims Handling & Settlements:

• Oversee the claims process, ensuring timely and fair settlements with insurers.
• Liaise with insurance providers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve claim-related disputes.

Risk Assessment & Compliance:

• Evaluate business risks and ensure adequate insurance coverage.
• Ensure all policies comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Work closely with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to align insurance policies with business needs.
• Provide recommendations on insurance-related matters to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5-6 years of experience in Insurance, preferably handling Employee Insurance and General Insurance products (Fire, Marine, etc.).
• Strong negotiation skills with experience in dealing with insurance companies and brokers.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, claims management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
