Job Title: Director - Non-Trade Accounts Payable

Position Overview:

The Director - Non-Trade Accounts Payable is a key leadership position within the Finance team. You will be responsible for overseeing and leading the non-trade accounts payable function operations as well as Reporting, which includes services like marketing, rent, tech tools, utilities, and other operational expenses. In this role, you will manage the team of Senior Manager, Managers etc., setting the strategic direction for the accounts payable processes, ensuring operational eƯiciency, compliance, accurate reporting and alignment with the company’s financial objectives.You play a critical role in stakeholder management, reporting to senior leadership and ensuring that the organization’s payables processes contribute to improved cash flow, cost savings, and financial reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

o Lead the non-trade payables team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all

invoices and payments, while maintaining a strong control environment.

o Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable lifecycle for non-trade expenses, including

vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment execution, and reconciliation.

o Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes, ensuring that the

company’s processes are compliant with tax regulations and accounting standards.

o Ensure the eƯective allocation of resources, providing the team with the necessary

tools, training, and support to excel in their roles.

o Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, driving accountability, open

communication, and a continuous learning environment.

o Manage the cash flow related to non-trade payables, ensuring payments are processed

on time and in accordance with agreed-upon vendor terms.

o Analyse payment patterns, optimize cash flow, and ensure that working capital is

eƯiciently managed.

o Collaborate with the Treasury team and other stakeholders to forecast cash needs and

develop strategies for optimizing payment terms and working capital.

o Establish and maintain strong relationships with key external vendors, negotiating

payment terms, and resolving issues in a timely and eƯective manner.

o Engage with internal stakeholders such as Procurement, Legal, Operations, and IT to

ensure seamless processes for vendor management and invoicing.

o Lead the team in preparing for and managing internal and external audits, ensuring

smooth audits with no significant findings.

o Identify opportunities for process improvements and eƯiciencies within the non-trade

accounts payable function, driving initiatives to reduce manual tasks, improve

accuracy, and shorten processing times.

o Provide senior management with data-driven insights into the payables function,

advising on ways to optimize spending and improve working capital management.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

o Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of experience in finance with managerial role

focused on accounts payable or financial operations. Experience in eCommerce, quick

commerce, or a high-growth environment is highly advantageous.

o Extensive experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and

advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including financial modeling and reporting).

o In-depth understanding of the end-to-end accounts payable process, financial

reporting, and compliance.

o Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a proven track record of

mentoring and developing high-performing teams.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to eƯectively interact with senior

management, vendors, and internal departments.

o Ability to think strategically, manage complex projects, and provide actionable insights

to drive financial performance.

o Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement and

operational excellence.
