That’s why, since 2016, we’ve been on a mission to change all of that. Our mission at Zego is to offer the lowest priced insurance for good drivers.
From van drivers and gig workers to everyday car drivers, our customers are our driving force — they’re at the heart of everything we do.
We’ve sold tens of millions of policies so far, and raised over $200 million in funding. And we’re only just getting started.
Purpose of the role
We are looking for a Pricing Graduate with a strong analytical mindset who is eager to understand how technical risk models translate into final market prices. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of how we drive value through data and offers a clear path toward permanent pricing roles such as a Pricing Analyst, Technical Pricing Actuary, or Core Pricing Data Scientist.
What you will be doing
As a Pricing Graduate, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end pricing lifecycle. You will work across various functions to help Zego maintain its competitive edge and ensure our pricing is both fair and data-driven. Your responsibilities will include:
- Market Analysis & Strategy: Monitoring real-time market competitiveness and competitor movements to help us understand and adapt our commercial strategy.
- Data & Predictive Modelling: Getting hands-on with our predictive models and exploring new pricing factors—such as telematics—to improve our risk assessment.
- Technical Rate Setting: Learning and applying the fundamentals of technical pricing to help set rates, forecast profitability, and measure the accuracy of our models.
- Process Automation: Working to streamline our data pipelines and using AI-driven tools to improve the efficiency of our pricing operations.
- Operational Excellence: Taking ownership of essential recurring tasks, including data quality checks and performance reporting, to ensure our pricing remains robust and accurate
What you will need to be successful
- Educational Background: A degree in a quantitative STEM field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Physics). You should be comfortable with mathematical concepts and data manipulation.
- AI-Driven Mindset: You are an "AI-first" thinker. You don't just use AI tools; you actively seek ways to integrate them into your workflow to automate manual tasks, analyse data faster, and solve complex pricing problems more creatively.
- Analytical Curiosity: A strong desire to learn how technical risk models translate into commercial value and market-leading prices.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with (or a strong desire to learn) programming languages like Python or SQL, and an interest in how machine learning impacts modern insurance.
- Ownership & Proactivity: You take initiative in your own learning and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact the business.
