Created in 2019, EICL was the UK’s first ever insurtech to secure its own insurance licence. Authorised and regulated by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, we provide underwriting capacity to the group MGA, Zego, for commercial motor customers in the UK.

The role

EICL is in a period of growth and you will be central to facilitating that development in a scalable and sustainable way. We are currently in the midst of a transformative strategic project and our team is continually expanding. This is an exciting time to join the EICL team in a pivotal role to help us achieve success.

Sitting within the Operations and Partnerships team, reporting into the Head of Operations, you will manage existing processes and reporting and lead projects across all business units to ensure execution of EICL strategies.

You will also be a key point of contact for our insurance partners and Zego MGA to maintain good relationships, ensuring effective operating rhythm’s are in place and contractual requirements are met.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

  • Manage projects and work streams internally and with key partners, ensuring on time delivery. Examples of projects you could be involved in are helping build our brand or setting up our first office in Gibraltar.
  • Identify and resolve efficiencies, continually improving and digitising our overall operation. This may include finding ways to scale our processes as our team grows, maximising the use of AI in everything we do or putting new software in place that addresses a business need.
  • Oversee and review policies and procedures in place in conjunction with all areas of the business. You will ensure these are kept up to date, reflect what we do and have the right owners aligned.
  • Help facilitate EICL’s committee and board meetings. This will include scheduling, preparing materials, taking minutes and ensuring action items are completed.
  • Be the point of contact for EICL’s external insurance partners, Zego MGA and other outsourced service providers, maintaining good relationships and addressing queries in a timely manner. This will involve leading regular meetings with various stakeholders, delivering messages and working through problems, as well as facilitating bringing the right people together at the right time to reach solutions.
  • Ensure internal and external operating rhythms are effective and that relevant contractual requirements are met, such as key performance indicators and reporting.

What you will need to be successful in the role

  • You are a go-getter who is willing to do the work to achieve business objectives and understands the balance of commercial and operational requirements.
  • Experience in an operational, process-improvement role in commercially-focused organisations managing complex and cross-functional projects.
  • You’ll have excellent stakeholder management and experience managing external stakeholders and building relationships
  • You’ll have experience designing robust, efficient processes for management of partners and tools to improve efficiency and scalability
  • You’ll be detail oriented, proactive and able to problem solve and suggest solutions
  • You’ll have the capacity to multitask and prioritise in a logical, structured and disciplined manner
  • It would be advantageous if you have experience in insurance or financial services/ other regulated financial industry
