This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of analytics in a fast-growing, mission-driven startup that bridges technology, science, and operations.

About the Role

The Senior Manager/Director, Data Analytics will lead a small but impactful team of data professionals responsible for delivering insights that influence strategic and operational decisions across Product, Finance, Operations, and Commercial functions.

You will combine hands-on technical work with leadership, building scalable reporting and data models while mentoring your team and collaborating with business leaders. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a global, fast-paced environment and enjoys turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts and data scientists to deliver accurate and meaningful data insights supporting key business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product, Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams to identify and prioritize analytics initiatives.
  • Design and maintain automated dashboards and performance metrics using tools such as Looker, Tableau, DBRX or Power BI.
  • Drive the development of scalable data models, ETL processes, and data quality frameworks in collaboration with engineering.
  • Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and communicate findings in a clear, compelling way to leadership.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover opportunities in customer behavior, product adoption, and operational/financial performance.
  • Build and promote a data-driven culture across the organization through training, enablement, and consistent data storytelling.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of total experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or team management role within analytics, preferably in a startup or high-growth tech environment.
  • Strong command of SQL and experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, DBRX, Power BI) and modern data stack components (Snowflake, dbt, Python/R preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into analytical deliverables that drive decision-making.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional global teams, including Product, Engineering, and Finance.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or Engineering).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a SaaS, e-commerce, or B2B marketplace environment—ideally within the biotech, procurement, or life sciences industry.
  • Familiarity with analytics engineering concepts and cloud data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization, KPI frameworks, and performance reporting for leadership teams.
  • Comfort operating in a global, distributed environment with U.S. and European counterparts.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to build and scale the analytics function within a global, mission-driven biotech tech company.
  • A collaborative and inclusive culture focused on learning, innovation, and growth.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits, including health insurance, wellness programs, and flexible work arrangements.
  • Exposure to international teams, projects, and career growth opportunities within a fast-scaling global organization.
