The Role

We're looking for a commercially driven Field Marketing Manager who can weave magic into measurable results. You'll bring Wordsmith's story to life through world-class experiences that not only captivate hearts and minds but drive serious business impact. You'll own the strategy, planning, and execution of our global events program from tier-1 sponsored conferences to intimate, unforgettable Wordsmith dinners with a relentless focus on generating pipeline, accelerating deals, and building a brand that legal teams can't stop talking about.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a high-frequency events strategy (2-3 events per week, multiple conferences per month) designed to drive ROI and generate a pipeline of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).

  • Manage and optimise event budgets, with transparent ROI tracking and reporting to secure leadership approval for all activities.

  • Identify, prioritise, and manage a pipeline of tier-1 events across key geographies, including conferences, dinners, and other networking opportunities with measurable outcomes.

  • Systematically collect, qualify, and manage leads from all events, ensuring a seamless handoff to Sales and a structured follow-up process.

  • Estimate, track, and report on the ROI for all event activities, providing clear insights into performance and business impact.

  • Tell Wordsmith's story in compelling ways that turn prospects into believers and customers into advocates, while maintaining laser focus on pipeline generation.

  • Craft magical, world-class brand experiences that captivate the legal community , create lasting emotional connections, and directly contribute to measurable business results.

  • Work with cutting-edge legal tech while building relationships with the most innovative legal minds in the industry.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record of delivering measurable ROI from events.

  • Experience managing high-frequency event schedules in a fast-paced environment.

  • 3 - 5 years in event management, ideally in tech, SaaS, or B2B, with a focus on lead generation and pipeline contribution.

  • Strong budget management and financial reporting skills, with experience justifying spend based on expected ROI.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for lead management and tracking.

  • Excellent project management and communication skills.

  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and tight deadlines.

  • Strong vendor management and negotiation abilities.

  • Hands-on experience running conferences and events for B2B SaaS companies, with demonstrable results.

  • Proven ability to manage complex event logistics at scale, including venue selection, catering, A/V setup, and registration systems.

  • Experience with conference sponsorship negotiations and vendor management to maximise event ROI.

  • Track record of executing events that directly contribute to sales pipeline and measurable revenue growth.
