About the Opportunity

As a Site Leader, Distribution & Manufacturing, you are responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and strategic direction of a culinary manufacturing and distribution facility. This role oversees all site functions including production, warehouse operations, logistics, quality, sanitation, safety, and workforce management.

The Site Leader, Distribution & Manufacturing, ensures the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety and regulatory standards while delivering strong operational results. This leader drives operational excellence, develops leadership teams, and partners with cross‑functional stakeholders to support business growth and operational scalability.

This role operates within a high‑volume culinary manufacturing and distribution facility where teams work around production equipment, warehouse operations, and logistics workflows. Strict adherence to safety, food safety, and operational standards is required.

The Impact You Will Have

Site Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution operations

  • Ensure production, fulfillment, and logistics operations meet operational targets and service levels

  • Oversee daily site performance including productivity, quality, safety, and labor efficiency

  • Drive operational alignment across production, distribution, inventory, sanitation, and quality teams

  • Monitor site performance metrics and implement strategies to improve operational results

Financial Ownership & P&L Accountability

  • Maintain full P&L ownership for the manufacturing site including labor, operational expenses, materials usage, and cost control initiatives

  • Monitor and manage labor costs, overtime, and staffing efficiency to ensure alignment with financial targets

  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities through operational improvements, waste reduction, and process efficiencies

  • Partner with Finance and Supply Chain teams to track budget performance, cost drivers, and operational spending

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that improve site profitability while maintaining product quality and service levels

  • Ensure leadership teams understand financial targets and drive accountability for cost performance across departments

  • Translate company strategy into site‑level execution plans and operational priorities

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, throughput, and cost management

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, or operational excellence programs

  • Ensure operational processes scale effectively with business growth

Site Performance Metrics & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Labor Performance: Monitor labor cost, productivity, utilization, and overtime efficiency

  • Operational Throughput: Track production output vs. demand, cycle times, and capacity utilization

  • Waste & Efficiency: Drive product yield, reduce waste/scrap, and improve process efficiency and cost control

  • Service & Distribution: Ensure on-time fulfillment, order accuracy, and coordination across production, warehouse, and logistics

  • Food Safety & Quality: Maintain audit compliance, track quality defects, and ensure sanitation and regulatory standards

Food Safety, Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations including HACCP, GMP, FDA, and company standards

  • Maintain regulatory compliance across manufacturing, sanitation, and quality programs

  • Partner with food safety and quality leaders to ensure product integrity and audit readiness

  • Support internal and external regulatory inspections and operational audits

Leadership Development & Team Management

  • Lead and develop a strong leadership team including managers, assistant managers, and supervisors

  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability across site leadership

  • Partner with HR on workforce planning, leadership development, and talent succession

  • Foster a high‑performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence

Safety & Workplace Standards

  • Ensure a safe work environment through strong safety programs and operational discipline

  • Reinforce safe practices across manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics operations

  • Partner with safety teams to address incidents, hazards, and preventative safety initiatives

Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with supply chain, transportation, HR, finance, and corporate leadership teams

  • Ensure strong communication between site operations and company leadership

  • Support operational initiatives that impact multiple functions across the organization

Leadership Expectations

  • Lead through visibility by maintaining a strong presence on the floor, modeling ownership and accountability

  • Drive operational discipline by reinforcing consistent processes, safety standards, productivity, and quality

  • Develop leaders by coaching site teams and building leadership bench strength

  • Champion food safety and workplace safety through strong compliance and accountability

  • Own site performance by driving productivity, cost control, and service levels using data and insights

What You Bring to the Table

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, food production, or distribution operations

  • Proven experience leading large operational teams in high‑volume environments

  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations including HACCP and GMP

  • Experience managing operational performance metrics and large‑scale operations

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities

  • Ability to drive operational strategy and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Experience leading culinary manufacturing or food production facilities

  • Experience managing multi‑functional operational teams

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence experience preferred

  • Ability to walk production and warehouse floors for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary

  • Ability to work in temperature‑controlled manufacturing and warehouse environments for extended periods

  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • This role requires occasional travels for meetings, trainings, and site visits

  • Bilingual preferred

Texas: $148,000 - $193,000 per year.

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
