About the Opportunity
As an HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting leadership through a wide range of HR and administrative duties related to staffing, scheduling, talent acquisition, compliance, payroll, and team member engagement. In this role, you’ll collaborate across teams to ensure smooth operations and serve as a professional, supportive representative of leadership and HR, fostering a safe, positive work environment.
The Impact You Will Have
Maintain and update personnel files, compliance documentation, and confidential records in alignment with HR policies and guidelines
Manage the full onboarding process including background checks, drug screens, I-9 verification, orientation scheduling, IT setup, and benefits enrollment
Post job requisitions, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
Track and process payroll adjustments, timecard corrections, attendance, and missed punches to ensure accurate pay and reporting
Prepare onboarding documents, conduct orientations, send welcome communications, and ensure completion of compliance and security training
Serve as a point of contact for HR policy, payroll, and benefits inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed
Generate and distribute reports on staffing, scheduling, attendance, and turnover metrics for leadership
Collaborate with managers and HR partners on programs, trainings, compliance updates, and temporary-to-permanent team member conversions
Maintain I-9 compliance, including document collection, reverifications, and uploads to Workday
Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture-building activities
Support facilities and operations by organizing breakrooms, training spaces, and HR communication boards
Partner with Facilities to issue new hire badges and ensure timely system access setup
Assist team members with Workday navigation and general HR system use
Complete other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Table
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a retail or a related environment preferred
At least 1 year of administrative experience (processing data, scheduling, tracking information, using office software)
At least 1 year of experience administering confidential staff information (e.g., personnel files, compliance data)
Experience using Workday, Paradox, or other HR and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferred
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to diverse audiences
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges and troubleshooting issues
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to candidates and stakeholders
Ability to own the new hire onboarding experience end-to-end
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with exempt and non-exempt staff
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
Requires open availability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and holidays any day of the week
Ability to lift 10 pounds without assistance; may lift over 10 pounds with or without assistance
Bilingual preferred
Travel Requirements: This role requires regular travel to support neighboring sites and occasional travel may be necessary for meetings and training
Pennsylvania: $21.90 - $27.40 per hour
Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
