About the role
As a Delivery & Receiving Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all incoming deliveries of food, beverage, and supplies, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper storage to support smooth kitchen operations. This role is critical in maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing waste, and upholding food safety standards. You will work closely with the culinary team to coordinate unloading, storage, and distribution of products while ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient receiving process.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities

Receiving and Logistics:
Receive all incoming food, beverage, and supply deliveries at the loading dock
Palletization and careful handling of product
Load and unload trucks safely
Verify delivery contents against invoices to ensure accuracy
Inspect all products for quality, freshness, and correct temperature upon arrival
Reject any damaged or incorrect items and document discrepancies

Coordination and Distribution:
Communicate with the procurement team, chefs, and other key stakeholders about shipment schedules, order updates, inventory status, and incoming deliveries to ensure they are prepared to receive items
Coordinate with kitchen staff to unload and properly store all delivered products in the correct locations (e.g., dry storage, refrigeration, freezer)
Rotate stock to ensure proper inventory management and reduce waste
Maintain a cleaned and organized receiving area

Administrative & Other Duties
Document receiving activities and maintain accurate records, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory receipts
Monitor, organize, and complete tasks via ticketing system
Proper handling of product labeling and logging
Report inventory discrepancies to direct leader
Support culinary and facility teams as needed
Other duties as assigned
The experience you have
Previous experience in a kitchen, warehouse, or logistics role is a plus
Experience using ticket-based systems such as Zendesk or Jira Service Management a plus
Ability to lift and move heavy items, often up to 50 lbs
Knowledge and adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
Forklift certified a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of food safety (safe food temperatures) and sanitation standards is a plus
Ability to work in cold environments (34°F to 40°F) for extended periods including occasional freezer temperatures (0°F to 10°F)
Comfortable standing for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
Pay Range: $19.70 - $22.60 per hour, depending on experience
