About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Overnight Fulfillment Manager to lead the overnight shift for our centralized distribution operation. This role is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely picking, packing, and dispatch of temperature-sensitive food products, ensuring all customer orders meet our quality and safety standards and arrive within SLA to their destination. The ideal candidate will have experience managing teams in a fast-paced, cold-chain logistics or food distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead overnight fulfillment staff to ensure timely and accurate order picking, packing, and staging
Maintain strict adherence to food safety, cold chain compliance, and sanitation protocols.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory control to ensure product availability and rotation (FEFO)
Ensure equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and refrigeration units are properly used and maintained
Manage shift scheduling, attendance, and performance, including coaching, discipline, and training
Track KPIs such as order accuracy, PPH, and shrinkage; implement improvements as needed
Oversee all aspects of inventory management during the overnight shift, including inventory movement, cycle counts, and shrinkage reduction
Monitor inventory levels across pick locations and backstock; initiate and direct replenishment to ensure uninterrupted fulfillment operations
Collaborate with receiving, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure a smooth operation across shifts
Prepare and deliver shift reports, including order completion status, inventory anomalies, labor productivity, and incident logs
Foster a safety-first culture by enforcing OSHA standards and company safety policies
The experience you have:
- 3+ years of experience in a food fulfillment, warehousing, or distribution environment, preferably with refrigerated products
- 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong understanding of cold chain logistics and food safety regulations (HACCP, FSMA, etc.)
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work in cold environments (34°F to 40°F) for extended periods
- Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and basic Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bilingual preferred
- Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
Base Salary: $88,000
