About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Brand Strategy to lead the end-to-end management of our brands. Whether incubating a brand from scratch or enhancing an existing brand through acquisition, this individual will be responsible for shaping the brand’s identity, ethos, storytelling, and overall strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of brand positioning, marketing, and consumer engagement to drive long-term brand equity and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies that align with Wonder’s business goals and our existing portfolio.
  • Lead the creation of new brands from inception, defining their identity, mission, and positioning in the market as we rapidly expand our footprint.
  • Oversee brand transformation efforts for acquired brands, ensuring a cohesive and compelling market presence and integration into the Wonder ecosystem.
  • Define and articulate brand ethos, storytelling, and messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights to inform brand strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and agencies, including product development, marketing, and creative, to ensure brand consistency and success.
  • Develop and oversee brand guidelines to maintain a strong, unified brand presence across all platforms.
  • Lead marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, engagement, and loyalty.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies to optimize brand growth and performance.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, cultural movements, and emerging technologies to keep brands relevant and innovative.

The experience you have

  • 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of building and managing restaurant and hospitality brands either in-house or at an agency.
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, consumer behavior, and market trends.
  • Experience in storytelling and content strategy to build compelling brand narratives.
  • Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive initiatives across teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Experience working in both startup and established brand environments is a plus.

Base Salary: $211,000

Reports to Head of Wonder Hospitality Group
