About the role

The Operations Analytics team at Wonder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager. Our Operations Analytics team's mission is to facilitate, enable, and leverage the use of data to identify and uncover operational inefficiencies and overall operational performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database modeling, analytics with a focus on operational data and ML/AI. They will be responsible for providing and leveraging data to uncover operational inefficiencies, drive actionable insights, optimize operations, and support key business initiatives. This role will specifically focus on our supply chain, which encompasses all operations related to forecasting, planning and purchasing. Your work will ladder up to improving two primary business KPIs - Waste and Stockouts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Develop and maintain database models, ETL processes, and data pipelines using dbt.

  • Develop and maintain “automated RCAs”. Instead of asking the “5 why’s” every time an issue occurs, we preemptively perform that analysis so that we can simply look up the final root cause.

  • Develop and maintain efficient Looker Explores and dashboards to enable self-service reporting of our operational data.

  • Leverage data and ML/AI to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement across our supply chain.

  • Work cross-functionally with various business partners to leverage data that drives key business initiatives with a direct impact on the “bottom line”.

  • Bonus: utilize LLMs to more quickly and efficiently gain insights, allow anyone in the organization to simply ask complicated questions to get a concrete answer, and eventually automate certain supply chain functions.

The experience you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in database modeling, analytics, or a related field, with a focus on operational analytics, restaurant industry a plus.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, data modeling and analysis.

  • Experience leveraging Python for data analysis to perform simulations, what-if analysis, etc.

  • Proficiency using ML/AI in data analysis

  • Experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation.

  • Proficiency in Looker or similar BI tools for data source, dashboard development and visualization.

  • Solid understanding and experience in data warehousing concepts and methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.

Base Salary: $157,500
