About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager who is eager to learn and grow in a friendly fast-paced environment. This person will support in all aspects of project management, with a focus on task follow-ups, documentation, and transition to operations with plenty of opportunity to grow responsibilities in an emerging company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reports to and assists the project manager or senior project manager in all aspects of restaurant projects
  • Actively participates in program and project specific meetings to update task statuses in project management softwares, reports and spreadsheets
  • Independently prioritizes tasks, collaborates with project manager to follow up with vendors to ensure completion; escalates where required
  • Gathers updates from internal cross functional team members; updates project plans and schedules
  • Tracks and performs follow-ups with design team to ensure design reviews are completed, issues are resolved, and construction documents are completed on time
  • Solicits proposals, coordinates contracts, and collaboratively reviews change orders and invoices with project manager and contracts team for approval
  • Documents costs in budget tracking tools
  • Focuses on activities related to transitioning a restaurant to opening; including, coordination of dates with internal stakeholders and external vendors, setting up service contracts, monitoring completion on site
  • Assist with punch lists, close out documentation, TI reimbursements, to close projects
  • Travels to job sites as required for due diligence, meetings, project progress checks and Turnover activities

The experience you have

  • 2-5 Years of relevant work experience
  • Past experience in Project Management, Construction, or Design, with focus in project management activities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Financial management experience
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents
  • Experience reviewing proposals contracts and change orders
  • Ability to independently relay instruction in person, on site, to vendors
  • Procurement experience
  • Jira experience a plus

Base Salary: $88,000
