About the role

The Expansion and Demand Forecasting Manager will oversee topline forecasting and geographic expansion strategy for the company. This role will execute, iterate on, and help to automate our demand forecasts by analyzing customer behavior and developing sophisticated models. This role encompasses the unique combination of analytics, strategy, and cross-functional partnership. Key responsibilities include:

  • Near-term topline revenue forecasting for each Wonder location, determining labor and inventory planning downstream, partnering closely with Operations, Marketing, Product, and Data Science
  • Future-state revenue forecasting for each prospective Wonder location, helping determine economic viability for potential new sites
  • Future-state projections to inform near-term budget planning and long-term capital planning, in partnership with Finance and Investor Relations
  • Strategic partnership with the Development team to advise on expansion strategy (i.e., regional expansion strategy, trade area selection, kitchen design type)
  • Delivery radius determination and creation for each new site to determine near-term and future state serviceable market, in partnership with Operations and Marketing teams

The experience you have

  • Investment banking, management consulting, or business operations experience, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Significant experience building complex financial and operational models; expertise in Excel and SQL
  • Ability to think beyond the numbers and use business judgment to inform key decisions
  • Experience working cross functionally within the organization and translating cross-functional requirements into relevant models
  • Experience communicating with senior executives and senior client stakeholders to convey complex analytical frameworks in a clear and concise manner
  • Bonus points: Experience with Snowflake, Looker, Tableau, and geospatial and demographic databases (i.e., US Census data, ESRI)

Base Salary Range: $120,750
