About the role

An Associate Director of Field Culinary Training Implementation you are responsible for overseeing, developing, and rolling out best in class culinary training to various teams within our organization and at scale. This role requires a highly analytical and tech forward approach with a deep understanding of how efficient e-learning will facilitate exponential growth. You will bring strong knowledge of instructional development methodologies and tools including design and be responsible for creating and aligning SOP’s to train new and existing staff at each high density restaurant location in a uniform way. This will include creating and implementing a tech based Learning Management System that will allow our business to scale. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, such as culinary operations and product design to create successful training programs and ensure the smooth rollout of culinary training across new restaurants as well as implement changes to existing dishes to optimize and unify food preparation, handling, packaging, and presentation.

  • Build and deploy a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs to include creating and implementing teaching the culinary “Wonder” way.
  • Design and create uniform menu implementation strategies and processes for our team, enabling employees to be successful from day 1.
  • Develop, maintain, and teach content related to culinary processes and procedures
  • Organize, develop, and maintain internal support training resources to include a "Train the Trainer" program that we will use to scale
  • Improve and unify existing culinary techniques across varied menus and cuisines.
  • Work with relevant cross-functional teams to assess training needs, continually improving learning efficacy and learner engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to audit our culinary procedures and training that will facilitate cross training and multi menu adaptations.

The experience you have

  • Previous experience in building and deploying Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Proficiency with a variety of web-development/eLearning authoring tools
  • Proven track record of developing and executing menu implementations achieving measurable results at scale (i.e regional or national roll out)
  • Knowledge of training tools, culinary operations, and equipment and how to support start-up growth.
  • Strong communication, written and engagement skills.
  • Analytical thinker with an ability to improve processes by implementing tech
  • Operating in ambiguity and demonstrated success of being entrepreneurial in a startup environment.
  • Experience in training and development at a start up or high-speed growth (strong preference for food or culinary industry, but not required)

Base Salary: $183,750

Locations: New York City, NY with travel within NJ and NY operations
