Warby Parker is on the lookout for a driven Senior Manager of Retail Operations to oversee the execution of all projects impacting our growing Retail fleet. In this role, you’ll uphold operational excellence through validating our processes, supporting special initiatives, escalating business opportunities, and ensuring continuity. As a key member of our Retail Operations team, you’ll strategize with the Director of Retail Operations and other leaders across the company to develop roadmaps that will make our store teams even more impactful and efficient. What you’ll do:
- Maximize productivity, operational efficiency, and profitability by leading the execution of key Retail and Eyecare initiatives across the fleet
- Serve as a strategic operational partner to Retail leadership, driving scalable solutions that improve the store and customer experience
- Own and write all retail-facing operational policies, procedures, and communication strategies associated with Retail Operations initiatives and company-wide rollouts
- Lead cross-functional coordination and execution across Retail, Eyecare, Product, Technology, Finance, Supply Chain, CX, Facilities, and Store Development teams
- Build and communicate scalable processes, templates, and quick reference guides to support seamless field adoption and operational consistency
- Drive operational readiness and change management planning for new initiatives, pilots, launches, and large-scale rollouts
- Manage the delivery of the overall store and optical supply budget and forecasting process in partnership with Finance, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings
- Partner closely with Retail Product and Technology teams to plan, test, and execute retail and eyecare technology initiatives and operational tooling
- Partner with Retail Strategy and field leadership teams to support traffic-driving, booking, and business growth initiatives
- Review and analyze operational KPIs, store performance metrics, and project outcomes to evaluate effectiveness, identify trends, and inform scalable recommendations
- Lead operational ownership of emerging business categories and innovation initiatives, including AI glasses operations, policy, training, and execution support
- Support customer-facing operational enhancements and digital retail initiatives that improve the end-to-end store experience
- Identify operational pain points and proactively develop solutions that improve efficiency, reduce complexity, and enhance the employee and customer experience
- Lead, coach, and develop a team while fostering strong cross-functional relationships and team camaraderie across the broader Retail Operations organization
- Support evening and weekend coverage as needed for operational escalations, special project rollouts, and business-critical initiatives
Who you are:
- Backed by 6+ years of experience managing retail operations
- A team player who can create concise documents to communicate within our department and across the retail field
- An organizational powerhouse (your calendars and spreadsheets are color-coded masterpieces)
- Equipped with sharp-as-a-tack technical and management skills
- A self-motivated manager who’s able to lead, grow, and sustain a highly engaged team
- Able to prioritize tasks and juggle responsibilities simultaneously
- A G Suite pro
- Prior retail experience in the field and corporate office
