We’re looking for a top-notch Visual Manager to help us make sure all of our stores and events—plus our HQ—are beautiful and on-brand. The person in this role will interface between our Retail and Brand teams, managing all visual directives and standards communicated out to our stores. The Visual Manager will also support on-site setups at new store openings as needed. Ultimately, this role is responsible for supporting visual needs across our retail operation. Sound like your dream gig? Read on.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with the Visual Director to set and uphold Warby Parker’s visual standards across all retail stores, offices, showrooms, concept shops, and events
  • Manage communication with retail stores, including the creation of monthly Visual Directive and Standards guides
  • Travel as needed to set up in-store artwork and installs
  • Create and manage New Store Opening Reports collected from the field
  • Conduct regular store audits in the East Coast region, making sure everything is in tip-top shape at our New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut stores
  • Partner with our Brand, Retail, and Operations teams to produce in-store marketing materials (signage, vinyl, and beyond!)
  • Act as the point person for all timelines involving store renovations and repairs, partnering with construction project managers, the Retail Facilities or Operations teams, and the Brand team along the way
  • Manage and update store elements libraries for retail windows and tables
  • Own all visual needs and setups at our Optical Lab in Sloatsburg, NY
  • Fulfill and delegate tasks that come in through retail visual support tickets

Who you are:

  • Equipped with 3–5 years of visual merchandising experience
  • The proud owner of a bachelor’s degree—or equipped with extensive retail experience
  • A master time-manager who’s extremely, impressively organized and detail-oriented (spreadsheets make your heart beat)
  • A creative problem-solver and expert communicator—in person, on the phone, over email, via carrier pigeon, the whole shebang
  • Hard-working and fun-loving (you take your work seriously, but not yourself)
  • Able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Experienced with visual displays and installations
  • Someone who knows their way around a tool bag, a power drill, and basic handiwork
  • Able to travel from time to time, and on relatively short notice (carry-on at the ready)

Extra credit:

  • A degree in art or visual communications

Some benefits of working at Warby Parker for full-time employees:

  • Health, vision, and dental insurance
  • Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Flexible vacation policy
  • Paid Holidays
  • Retirement savings plan with a company match
  • Parental leave (non-birthing parents included)
  • Short-term disability
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Bereavement Support
  • Education Reimbursement
  • Free eyewear
  • And more (just ask!)

About Us:

Warby Parker was founded with a mission: to inspire and impact the world with vision, purpose, and style.

We're constantly asking ourselves how we can do more and make a greater impact, and that starts by reimagining everything that a company and industry can be. We want to demonstrate that a business can scale while doing good in the world, without charging a premium for it. And we’ve learned that it takes creativity, empathy, and innovation to achieve that goal.

Since the day we launched in 2010, we’ve pioneered ideas, designed products, and developed technologies that help people see. We offer everything you need for happier eyes at a price that leaves you with money in your pocket, from designer-quality glasses and contacts to eye exams and vision tests, and you can meet us online, at our stores, or even in your home. Wherever and whenever you need it, we’re there to make exceptional vision care simple and accessible. (Delightful, too.)

Ultimately, we believe in vision for all, which is why for every pair of glasses or sunglasses we sell, a pair of glasses is distributed to someone in need through our Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program.
