Senior Manager, Supply Chain & Operations

Maxbone Food, a Wag! Group Co. brand | Miami, FL | Full-Time | In-Person

About Us

maxbone is on a mission to elevate pet life with premium products for the modern dog and their people. From fashion-forward accessories to Superfoods for Super Dogs, maxbone is building the definitive premium pet brand, and we're just getting started. maxbone is part of Wag! Group Co., the number one platform for the service, product, and wellness needs of the modern U.S. pet household.

About the Team

The maxbone team moves fast, thinks big, and holds ourselves to a high bar. We operate with the energy of a startup and the backing of a scaled platform, which means you'll have real ownership, real impact, and real accountability from day one. Our operations function is the backbone of the brand, ensuring that Superfoods for Super Dogs gets from production to pet bowl without a hitch.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Supply Chain & Operations to own the end-to-end supply chain for maxbone Food. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable analyzing instock data in the morning and driving alignment with our co-packer in the afternoon. You'll direct our 3PL, manage inventory across the supply chain, own supplier relationships, and serve as the operational hub that keeps maxbone Food running and scaling. This is not a role for someone who waits for problems to come to them. We want a builder and a problem solver, someone who sees an inefficient process and fixes it, who sees a supply risk and gets ahead of it, and who brings the same passion for precision and ownership to supply chain that we bring to every product we put into the world. This role is a full-time in-person role in Miami, FL.

What You Will Do

  • Own the end-to-end supply chain for maxbone Food, from raw material sourcing through finished goods delivery to the customer
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for our 3PL partner, holding them accountable to SLAs, instock rates, accuracy targets, and cost performance
  • Manage inventory across all nodes of the supply chain, including partnering with our co-packer to lead to sourcing the best raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods; own key metrics including instock rates, forecasting accuracy, inventory placement, and inventory turns
  • Partner day-to-day with our co-packer to coordinate production planning, manage lead times, ensure quality standards are met, and resolve issues quickly
  • Own supplier relationships for key input materials, negotiating terms, managing lead times, and building contingency plans that protect supply continuity
  • Partner with Head of FP&A and Marketing to forecast demand at multiple levels of aggregation and aligning supply plans with the maxbone teams
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and define scalable processes that improve instock workflows and overall supply chain efficiency
  • Proactively surface issues, changes in priorities, and shifts in operational strategy to cross-functional stakeholders, with clear and transparent communication at every stage
  • Analyze large data sets to identify actionable insights and drive continuous improvement across instock, cost, and fulfillment performance
  • Coordinate supply chain readiness for new product launches across co-packing, raw materials, and logistics
  • Partner with Finance to manage supply chain costs and support budgeting and forecasting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, brand, and finance teams, balancing competing priorities to deliver the best outcomes for the business
  • Contribute to broader maxbone and Wag! operational initiatives as needed, bringing an ownership mindset to everything you touch

Who You Are

You are a supply chain operator with a builder's mindset. Precision and accountability are in your DNA. You are data-driven and capable of translating complex supply chain dynamics into clear decisions and action. Comfortable owning a function end-to-end, you know how to hold external partners to a high bar while building strong, productive relationships with them. You thrive in ambiguity, adapt quickly when priorities shift, and never wait for someone else to solve the problem.

  • 4+ years of supply chain, operations, or logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a manager, senior individual contributor or lead capacity
  • Experience in CPG, pet food and consumables, food and beverage, or e-commerce
  • Proven track record managing 3PL relationships, co-packer partnerships, and supplier negotiations
  • Strong command of inventory management, demand planning, forecasting algorithms and models, and S&OP processes
  • An analytical mindset with a track record of translating data and large data sets into operational strategy and improvement
  • Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills; able to adapt style across audiences and levels
  • Experience with supply chain or ERP systems (NetSuite, Adaptive ERPs or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field
  • Ability to work from our Miami, FL office
