About the Team
As part of the Wag! People Team, talent acquisition is focused on building Wag! Group Co. culture one quality hire at a time across our portfolio of brands and verticals. We partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders across the organization to design and execute hiring strategies that bring exceptional talent into Wag!, efficiently, thoughtfully, and at scale. About the Role
We are looking for a strategic, execution-oriented Recruiter to support full-cycle hiring across Wag!'s growing organization. Based in our Miami, FL office, you'll own recruiting across multiple functions and levels, partnering with leaders to find the talent that drives Wag!'s next chapter of growth. This is not a transactional recruiting role. We're looking for someone who thinks like a business partner and talent advisor, someone who can identify inefficiencies, influence stakeholders, improve processes, and help scale recruiting in a high-growth, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting from sourcing and screening to offer and close across a variety of functions and levels
- Serve as a strategic talent partner to hiring managers and business leaders, influencing hiring strategy and raising the bar on talent quality
- Use funnel metrics, market insights, and recruiting data to identify inefficiencies, improve hiring velocity, and drive strong talent outcomes at scale
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Compensation, and HR to navigate complex hiring challenges and inform talent decisions
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve sourcing strategies, recruiter productivity, and overall recruiting effectiveness
- Support HR and Talent systems and tools, including ATS administration, data integrity, reporting, and process documentation, to ensure a seamless recruiting and employee experience
- Assist with ad hoc HR projects, programs, and initiatives across the People Team, including onboarding improvements, employer branding efforts, compliance projects, and employee engagement and culture initiatives
- Contribute to broader HR operations and people programs as needed, serving as a flexible and collaborative member of the People Team
- Share best practices and help scale team impact within a high-performing recruiting culture
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally at a high-growth technology or consumer-facing company
- Experience operating as a strategic business partner, using data, market insights, and strong judgment to influence hiring decisions and improve recruiting efficiency
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with the ability to balance urgency, operational rigor, and an exceptional candidate experience
- Highly collaborative with the ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships across business leadership, Finance, Compensation, and HR
- Metrics-driven and operationally minded, with a focus on continuously improving hiring processes and outcomes
- Comfortable with HR and Talent systems and tools (ATS, HRIS, sourcing platforms); experience with BambooHR, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar platforms a plus
- Actively leverages AI and emerging technologies to improve recruiting workflows and productivity
- Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and accountability; comfortable operating through ambiguity and managing competing demands
