Base Pay Range:

$96,119.00 - $144,178.00

Job Summary:

The Senior Analyst of Advanced Supply Chain Analytics will work under the Managers, Directors, VPs and overall Senior Leadership on Vroom’s transformational strategies. You will do this through collaboration and being able to grasp complex problems through data driven analysis - at times given little instruction in resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways. Your team will synthesize complex problems through analytical solutions that will impact the goals of Vroom. Seasoned experience needed with ability to demonstrate solid judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.


● The Advanced Supply Chain Analytics function as a whole will be establishing strategic plans and objectives in uncovering Vroom’s largest challenges, creating scalable solutions against those challenges - including how Vroom buys cars, manages its inventory, markets its inventory, and completes the sale and delivery of cars to customers

● Responsible with resolving a wide range of complex issues through making solid judgment in selecting data driven analytical methods and at times creative techniques

● Will adhere to the data-driven thinking of your team as well as work collaboratively in improving initiatives across such areas as:

- Recon cost reduction through buying patterns or redesign of repair standards
- Inventory Balancing and Forecasting through Data-Driven Models for Enhanced Business Efficiency
- Last mile and line-haul logistics network to improve delivery metrics and NPS
- Optimizing Paper and Metal dwell times through Data-Driven Insights and Ongoing Improvement Initiatives
● Ensure that all your reporting and analytical responsibilities are completed competently in a timely manner, continually seeking out opportunities to learn new and hone existing technical skills (e.g. writing SQL/code, statistics, machine learning, etc.) and operate in collaboration with and/or mentorship of more experienced senior leadership and data analysts
● 3 to 5+ Years of experience with a Bachelor's degree preferably in an applicable area
● Ability to work on problems of a diverse scope through data driven analysis under the Advanced Supply Chain Analytics umbrella
● Can receive assignments in the form of objectives and demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
● Ability to normally receive general to little instruction on day-to-day work, working independently at time
● Unquenchable intellectual curiosity for getting to the underlying story being told within the data
● A combination of EQ and IQ – striving to balance creativity, situational awareness and objective information
● Will work on issues of a diverse scope utilizes data driven thinking and cross functional partnering to support the initiatives of Vroom
Required Skills
● Excellent oral/written communication skills with a leadership presence
● An ability to create order out of chaos, distill learnings, and communicate detailed data driven findings elegantly to team members and other leaders within and outside the organization
● Experience with SQL, Python, Looker/Tableau or other relational database and programing language
