Job Summary:

Perform routine maintenance on different makes/models of vehicles in a production environment. The automotive technician will report to the department lead supervisor. Technicians should be motivated, goal oriented and enthusiastic to hit daily production targets. Technician will collaborate with various departments within the reconditioning facility to achieve daily targets.

Identify mechanical problems on domestic and foreign vehicles. Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly. Maintain high efficiency numbers while meeting productivity and quality standards. Perform brake and tire repair/replace. Use testing and diagnostic equipment to ensure the repairs are done right the first time. Follow standardized workflow. Knowledge of basic computer systems and use. Follow 5S protocols to ensure a clean working environment. Be team oriented and maintain positive working relationships with Vroom employees.

Must posses a drive to achieve a high level of custtomer satisfaction. Skilled at working individually and in a team enviroment. A self starter that is goal driven. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Technical or trade school degree preferred or professional experience equivalent. ASE Certification or certification(s) in different specialized areas preferred. Strong attention to detail is required to meet productivity and quality standards. Must have own standard tools to perform the job

Must have a valid driver's license. Able to drive manual and automatic transmission. Use tire mounting and balancing equipment. Use of brake lathe equipment. Ability to use various types of diagnostic equipment.

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds. Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet. Requires standing for an extended periods of time to include stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling.
