Job Summary:

Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager, the Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for preparing, processing and analyzing of US multi-state payroll data only, including commissions, incentives, and bonus payments; handling US payroll and tax audits and invoice reconciliation, calculating and processing US payroll deductions including taxes, child support orders, insurances and garnishments while ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and other US regulatory requirements.

The Senior Payroll Analyst will possess strong technical, verbal and written communication skills, as well as advanced Excel skills. This person will effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to systems and US payroll processing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the US payroll cycle, including tax, benefits, wage attachments, etc. are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and timely
  • Manage details and scheduling for all US special pay cycles such as commissions, bonus and special payments, equity, merit increases and adjustments
  • Track and manage US liens, garnishments, and all other US special payroll deductions
  • Process pay for US new hires, leave of absences and terminations according to state laws
  • Analyze and review US payroll / time and attendance data; handle quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy with minimal errors
  • Process stop payments, reversals, off-cycle payrolls and manual checks as needed
  • Create custom reports and analyze large amounts of information to support mandatory reporting, day to day and ad hoc business needs
  • Support US quarterly and year-end payroll processing/reporting (W-2s)
  • Complete US monthly, quarterly, and yearly payroll and employment audit/reports Responsible for coordination efforts with Accounting and Tax teams to coordinate payroll corrections and amendments
  • Monitor and implement US statutory updates for regulations relating to payroll and time tracking
  • Work closely with management in planning large-scale projects
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Develop Workday US employee payroll and time tracking self service training resources
  • Plan and manage ad hoc reporting, research and special projects as needed
