Overview
We are looking for a Business Operations Manager! In this role, you will lead multiple BizOps Associates' projects and help to set and execute firm level strategy. You will report directly to the VP Strategy, engage closely with the executive team and have significant autonomy in leading BizOps projects. You will be responsible for managing the BizOps team and setting goals across the organization.
This role is fully remote, based anywhere in the United States or Canada. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide sponsorship to work in the United States or Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead key strategic and operational tasks for Vial including drug discovery, clinical ops, M&A, and investor relations
  • Manage end-to-end projects with input from key stakeholders, including clinical research coordinators, doctors, and Vial internal members
  • Contribute as a thought partner helping set firm direction, brainstorming and collecting thoughts across the org
  • Building processes based on our business goals
  • Monitor daily operations and address potential issues when they arise
  • Take into account the needs of external and internal stakeholders and incorporate them into new strategic plans

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience in Finance and/or Operations and/or Strategy
  • 2 years of experience in a managerial/leadership role
  • Experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, or previous BizOps roles preferred
  • Experience in Biotechnology or Healthcare preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; experience in startup environment a plus
  • Deeply analytical, systems thinker, focused on finding scalable solutions
