Cloudera is seeking a Product Security Engineering Manager to serve as a key leader responsible for ensuring the stability and operational success of our existing and upcoming vulnerability management capabilities. This is a hands-on front-line management position, where you will lead and mentor a team of security engineers.
This role will involve overseeing the development of vulnerability management systems, streamlining team procedures to improve efficiency, and contributing to the organization's overall security posture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations, a deep understanding of security best practices, and proven experience in managing and scaling security initiatives.
As a Product Security Engineering Manager, you will:
Provide professional development and training to team members.
Work with leadership to develop the product security roadmap.
Oversee and execute the entire lifecycle of security scanning automation projects.
Contribute to security assessments and code reviews for product features and releases.
Collaborate with Support and Engineering to meet customer requirements.
Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to demonstrate risk reduction and maturity.
Identify, evaluate, and implement new security tooling and technology.
Contribute to Security Assessment Reports (SARs) by providing expertise.
Partner with GRC and Legal to ensure Product Security aligns with regulatory and customer requirements (FedRAMP, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
We are excited if you have:
10+ years of experience in security engineering, product security, or application security.
5+ years of experience in software development.
2+ years of experience in a leadership role within a security environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Battle-tested understanding of security principles, technologies, and best practices.
Strong knowledge of modern secure software development (CI/CD, microservices, APIs, containers).
Experience with security infrastructure/platform management and project execution.
Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, SAST, DAST, ACME, and vulnerability management.
