Cloudera is looking for a talented, motivated, and enthusiastic part-qualified Accounting to join our accounting team based in Cloudera’s COE (Centre of Excellence) in Cork. You will work as part of the Corporate Accounting team which is responsible for our consolidated group reporting along with financial operations for the North American region. You will gain experience across a broad range of finance processes along with opportunities to interact with the wider finance team and business partners
As a Trainee Accountant you will:
Support the month end, quarter end, year-end closing process and financial reporting.
Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts on Blackline reconciliation tool.
Manage journal entry process, including booking recurring monthly journals, bank journals etc.
Support annual audits and preparation of Financial Statements.
Support the Fixed Asset team as required.
Maintain and reconcile bank accounts for US bank accounts, resolving queries as they arise.
Assist with the Inter- company process globally and align with intercompany agreement terms. Review Inter- company entries for assigned entities.
Calculate and post accruals as required (examples: travel, subscriptions, accounting/audit fees).
Prepayment calculation and journals.
Monthly and quarterly income statement and balance sheet fluctuation analysis.
Support Finance Projects through all stages to completion.
Maintain compliance with the Company’s existing SOX and internal control processes.
Perform any other ad-hoc tasks/projects assigned on an as-needed basis.
Follow and comply with all company standards and relevant compliance requirements.
We're excited about you if you have:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
Are currently active student of a recognised professional accounting body, ACCA, ACA, CIMA
Ability to multi-task, be agile and work well in a dynamic environment.
Team player with strong communication, customer service, organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines, and to efficiently interact with various groups across the company as well as outside of the company.
Intermediate/Advance Excel skills.
