Cloudera IT is looking for a talented, motivated, and passionate Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Technical Operations team. This role is focused on internal IT infrastructure, both in the public cloud and on-premise environments. You’ll be at the centre of modernising our IT operations with automation, DevOps practices, and a security-first approach, helping us scale efficiently while ensuring resilience and compliance.


As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will:

  • Build and automate CI/CD pipelines for IT infrastructure and applications using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, and Terraform

  • Work with IT Systems, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering teams to design and implement optimal automation solutions

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks to support both public cloud and private cloud environments

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for Linux compute and core IT services, ensuring high availability and reliability

  • Operationalise security requirements into systems and pipelines, ensuring compliance and resilience from the ground up

  • Create and maintain accurate documentation for automation, operational audits, and compliance

  • Continuously drive improvements in IT operations through automation, monitoring, and observability

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Solid understanding of core AWS, Azure, and GCP services relevant to enterprise IT infrastructure (e.g., compute, networking, storage, identity)

  • Hands-on skills with Python and shell scripting, used for automation and tooling

  • Strong Linux systems experience and comfort with common CLI tools

  • Proven experience with Terraform, GitHub/Git, and CI/CD processes

  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience designing, building, and operating secure, automated infrastructure in public and private cloud environments

You may also have:

  • Certifications such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Red Hat, or Terraform

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and their implementation in both traditional on-premises environments and public cloud platforms

  • Knowledge of enterprise security principles, cryptography, PKI, and operational security practices

  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
