Team Description:
Join our APAC Finance Team in Bangalore as a General Ledger Accountant, where you will take on a role overseeing the general ledger accounting for our APAC region. This pivotal position involves close collaboration with business partners to deliver exceptional support and financial insights. As the General Ledger Accountant, you will play a critical role in upholding the financial integrity of the company while also offering opportunities for further career development through additional responsibilities aligned with evolving business requirements.
As the General Ledger Accountant, you will:
- Responsible for the completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of the financial statements for the APAC subsidiaries, tax and compliance related matters
- Support the APAC Region month end, quarter end and year end closing process and financial reporting packages.
- Preparation of month end reporting packs and variance analysis
- Working with Accounts Payable to resolve billing issues and ensure vendors are set up to be paid timely and accurately.
- Manage the accurate and timely processing of all accounting transactions, including disbursements
- Support the global monthly consolidation process Intercompany bookings(cost Plus, funding, BOA Credit card), Fixed Assets etc.
- Maintain compliance with the Company’s existing SOX and internal control processes.
- Support the local quarterly and annual audit related activities as well as international statutory audits.
- Implement policies, standards and guidelines related to APAC finance activities.
- Oversee the external local accounting/compliance firm to ensure that all regulatory compliance requirements are completed timely and accurately.
- Liaise with Treasury, Payroll, HR, Equity, Legal, FP&A, Tax, and the Corporate Accounting teams to ensure day-to-day finance operational needs are met and assist in resolving issues and providing guidelines.
- Perform any other ad-hoc tasks/projects assigned on an as-needed basis.
- Follow and comply with all company standards and relevant compliance requirements.
We’re excited about you if you have:
- CA with relevant accounting experience
- Strong foundation in accounting, monthly close, and financial reporting and Blackline Reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of local accounting regulations and compliance. US GAAP accounting experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask, be agile and work well in a dynamic environment.
- Team player with strong communication, customer service, organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines, and to efficiently interact with various groups across the company as well as outside of the company.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with NetSuite, Blackline preferred.
