The Security Officer (SO) is responsible for the day-to-day management of protective security within Cloudera A/NZ to ensure compliance with the regulations and INFOSEC requirements of the Australian Federal and State Government agencies but with the potential to extend to the commercial sector. The SO reports to the ANZ Vice President and operates under the delegated authority of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to manage various security activities, including personnel security, physical security, and security training, report incidents and establish the governance framework to ensure Cloudera ANZ complies DISP membership and other framework requirements that might be necessary.
This is a hybrid role. It requires someone who executes multiple tasks in support of the Cloudera ANZ Leadership Team and sales team operations and can articulate and implement policies and procedures that support the run and operation of the ANZ business. The ideal person for the job will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
As a Security Officer you will:
Be involved in the following activities:

DISP Membership Application:
Complete the DISP membership application for the Cloudera ANZ and manage its ongoing maintenance.

Security Policies and Plans:
Develop and apply security policies and plans that align with DSPF requirements.

Governance
Implement the required policies
Maintain records of security incidents, overseas travels and debriefings
Facilitate and ensure the completion of required Security Training by the staff process
Respond to and report incidents and provide report updates on the progress of the security implementation and its governance.

Identify INFOSEC requirements that impact us.
Work collaboratively to ensure Cloudera ANZ addresses those requirements and that we get into multiple government panels.
Leadership Team Support Responsibilities:

Executive Assistance:
Provide high-level administrative support to the ANZ Leadership Team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and managing calendars.
Coordinate arrangements, reports, and meeting logistics for leadership and sales teams.
Perform duties and functions requiring confidentiality, initiative and sound decision-making.

Operational Coordination:
Assist in preparing and distributing reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Act as a liaison between leadership, staff, and external parties to ensure effective communication and task follow-up.

Sales Team Support:
Support the sales team with administrative tasks such as facilitating internal meetings, tracking requests from the RVP, managing bids, and supporting client proposals.
Coordinate team events, workshops, and conferences.

Office Management:
Manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and general operational needs.
Ensure a well-organized and functional work environment.
We’re excited about you if you have:
Must be an Australian citizen.
Able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Personal Security Clearance at the highest classification level required
Experience in security management, preferably within a government or defence context.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of security policies, practices, and legal requirements related to protective security.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in conducting security training and managing personnel security clearances.
You may also have:
Experience with DISP and DSPF frameworks and INFOSEC requirements.
Understanding of physical security requirements and insider threat management.
Previous experience as an office manager and/or executive assistant is a plus.
Ability to appropriately prioritise tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Strong capacity for self-initiative and proactiveness
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a positive and responsive attitude
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Extraordinary attention to detail with superior organisational and planning skills
Ability to recognise and appropriately handle highly sensitive and confidential material and information
Ability to quickly learn/adopt new technologies
Proficient PC skills, including Gmail and Microsoft applications
