About the role
Vannevar has historically had a cross-functional HR team, with pooled responsibilities across business operations and finance leaders. We are looking for a self-driving, highly organized candidate to own critical HR processes, partner with operations leadership to align HR strategies to business outcomes, and serve as a centralized resource (the “go-to” for questions) for the company.
What you’ll do
- Execute core HR duties, including payroll, compensation, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Manage our highest-priority People processes, including biannual review cycles, training and development, and cultural initiatives as we scale
- Serve as an employee resource on compensation, benefits, accommodations, and relations
- Oversee our compliance with HR-related regulations and applicable employment laws
- Support analysis of HR and People-related data to inform leadership decisions
What we’re looking for
- Based in DC or willing to travel to DC 2-3x/monthly for in-person onboarding weeks
- 3+ years of full-time experience in HR, with previous tech startup exposure a plus
- Proactive, high-ownership mindset with proven track record of “getting things done”
- Proven ability to innovate, scale, and automate HR processes
- Excitement about national security and defense missions
What we offer
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 + equity + 401K match. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and / or training.
