Meet the Merchant Product Marketing & Content team:

Our MPM&C team works at the intersection of Product, Marketing and Sales to connect Upside’s products to the market. This highly strategic group runs the commercialization and go-to-market processes, as well as working to define successful positioning for our products over the long term.

About the job:

Upside is a rapidly growing two-sided marketplace seeking a Head of Merchant Product Marketing & Content who will translate company objectives into a comprehensive product marketing strategy and tactical execution plan that will grow our merchant base and push us into new verticals. This leadership role will build and deliver an overall go-to-market approach, including bringing new products and features to market, as well as partner with Product, Demand Generation, Sales, Accounts and Sales Enablement teams to align on company goals, effectively position Upside and deliver business outcomes.

What you’ll do:

  • Leverage a deep understanding of Upside’s product offering and roadmap in order to both lead how we message new features and functionality in the market and feed market insights back to the Product team
  • Refine our target buyer personas and journeys, strategize and create merchant-facing content that resonates with the target audience, generates new business and accelerates the sales cycle
  • Liaise with Sales Enablement to ensure the Sales and Accounts teams are equipped to articulate our product positioning and value proposition
  • Support the Demand Generation team in creating and launching campaigns that convey a cohesive narrative and measurably grow the pipeline and increase sales velocity
  • Collaborate with our internal Brand team and external agencies to support content needs and maintain brand standards and compliance across all marketing channels
  • Build Looker and Salesforce dashboards and reports to draw insights from data and transform into strategy
  • Lead, mentor and grow an impactful product marketing team

What you need:

  • 15+ years of software product marketing targeting enterprise b2b audiences and including retailers
  • 7+ years of marketing leadership inclusive of growing marketing teams
  • Marketing innovation and experience with leading product marketing strategy for a data-driven product and achieving meaningful results
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, fail, and grow (professional growth mindset)
  • Exceptional customer service and people skills
  • Master's degree highly preferred
