About the job:

Upside is growing and in search of a proven sales executive to lead our Restaurant enterprise sales effort with a focus on acquiring new enterprise clients and crafting an effective, scalable go-to-market strategy.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with existing Upside sales leadership and lead enterprise sales efforts
  • Build a team of experienced, highly-motivated sales professionals to develop and grow Upside’s Restaurant vertical
  • Partner with the executive leadership team to build a sales strategy for a rapidly scaling sales team (both new business and post-sale) to achieve revenue and growth targets. This will include ownership of a staffing and hiring plan, implementing effective sales strategies, and pipeline and opportunity management
  • Form relationships and forge partnerships with VP, Director, and C-Level executives at Enterprise and Branded restaurant groups
  • Collaborate across multiple teams, including Sales, Product, Marketing, and Leadership to support go-to-market strategy, merchant launches, roadmaps, and key partnerships
  • Manage all forecasting and revenue tracking in the enterprise space, presenting, as needed, to internal teams

What you need:

  • 10+ years of sales experience with 5+ years of people management responsibilities preferred; experience working with C-Suite executives on pricing, planning, finance, and marketing is a plus
  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience required, with specific restaurant enterprise exposure a plus
  • Proven track record of exceeding quotas and mentoring teams to success
  • Experience leading largely remote teams who sell to sophisticated, enterprise-level customers; SaaS platform experience
  • Confident, eloquent, and effective public-speaking skills, with the ability to speak to both formal and casual audiences
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25% of the time for internal meetings, joint sales travel, and industry events
  • Experience working in a hyper-growth start-up preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (advanced degree a plus)
