We just launched a new product in the collectible space, which, one month after launch, is already at an eight figure yearly revenue run rate.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced attorney with experience in product and advertising regulations applicable to online gaming. You'll be instrumental in navigating the intricate web of gaming regulations, advertising requirements, and compliance obligations across the US and beyond. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly shape how we grow responsibly while maintaining our competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Advisory

  • Provide legal counsel on product development, marketing, and advertising initiatives to meet requirements of applicable gaming and gambling laws

  • Advise on compliance with federal, state, and international gambling regulations, including those enforced by gaming commissions and control boards

  • Ensure compliance with FTC regulations, state consumer protection laws, and industry-specific advertising. standards

  • Monitor and interpret evolving regulations affecting gaming industries, including loot box legislation, age-gating requirements, and responsible gaming mandates

  • Develop and maintain compliance frameworks for product launches in multiple jurisdictions

Advertising & Marketing Review

  • Review and approve marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and advertising content for legal compliance

  • Ensure advertising claims are substantiated and meet truth-in-advertising standards

  • Advise on influencer marketing, social media promotions, and digital advertising campaigns

  • Navigate platform-specific advertising policies (Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.) and gaming industry advertising codes

  • Counsel on sweepstakes, contests, bonuses, and other promotional mechanics

Product Counseling

  • Partner with product teams during development cycles to identify and mitigate regulatory risks

  • Advise on virtual currency, in-game purchases, microtransactions, and monetization strategies

  • Provide guidance on age verification systems, parental controls, and youth protection measures

  • Review terms of service, privacy policies, and player-facing disclosures

  • Support cross-functional teams on product feature compliance (odds disclosure, RTP, prize structures)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, product, engineering, business development, and compliance teams

  • Serve as primary legal liaison for advertising agencies and external marketing partners

  • Coordinate with outside counsel on specialized regulatory matters and licensing applications

  • Train internal teams on advertising compliance, regulatory requirements, and best practices

Risk Management

  • Conduct legal risk assessments for new products, features, and marketing initiatives

  • Manage regulatory inquiries, investigations, and enforcement actions from gaming authorities andconsumer protection agencies

  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance

  • Monitor industry enforcement trends and competitor regulatory challenges

What You Bring

Required:

  • Admission to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction (or equivalent professional qualification)

  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience, with substantial focus on regulatory law (in-house experience is a plus)

  • Direct experience in gaming, fintech, or software/technology industries (this is essential)

  • Strong understanding of cross-border regulatory compliance and multi-jurisdictional operations

  • Ability to translate complex legal requirements into actionable business guidance
