The Role

We are looking for an Event Marketing Intern to join our dynamic Brand Marketing team! Our marketing team is on a mission to create meaningful engagement with our customers and prospects, helping to build a strong pipeline for our sales team, as well as reinforce the brand position in our key regions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn the ins and outs of event marketing, project management, and cross-team collaboration. You'll gain hands-on experience in planning, executing, and evaluating events that directly impact our growth. With exposure to various marketing touch points, this role offers invaluable learning and development that can jump-start your career in marketing.

An Event Marketing Intern will support the brand marketing team to build out and operationalise events programs through specific marketing activities.

PLEASE NOTE: Your University must be willing to sign a 6-month full-time (40 hours / week) internship agreement with TravelPerk. Please double check if this is possible with your institution prior to applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the event planning and logistics, including vendor management, event scheduling, and budget tracking.
  • Assist management with the preparation of event campaigns and reports
  • Coordinate marketing touch points (social media, email invites, event landing pages) and ensure consistent branding.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and sales teams to ensure consistency in event branding and goals.
  • Support post-event activities, including gathering feedback, tracking event success, and analysing data.
  • Proactively contribute ideas and help to shape new processes and best practices within the marketing team

Must-Have Skills

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptionally organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Project Management: Strong project management abilities, including timeline management, task coordination, and meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring accuracy and quality in deliverables.
  • Data Analysis & Decision-Making: Ability to interpret and analyze data to drive informed, data-based decisions.
  • Writing & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Marketing Fundamentals: Basic understanding of marketing principles including email campaigns, social media management, and branding.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in using Excel and project management tools. Willingness to learn new tools such as CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and marketing automation software (e.g., Marketo).
  • Adaptability & Quick Learner: Comfortable with learning new software, tools, and processes. Open to gaining experience in various technologies related to marketing and project management.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Multilingual Abilities: Proficiency in languages such as Spanish, French, or German (not mandatory but advantageous).
  • Experience in Collaboration: Previous experience collaborating on projects or personal management of initiatives.
  • Marketing & Industry Knowledge: Basic awareness of marketing trends and practices relevant to the industry.
