The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Manager to play a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing the financial systems organisation within our dynamic Finance team. This strategic position aims to optimise efficiency and scalability across our systems, addressing both financial and operational needs. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business and financial process owners, leading the design, development, and implementation of seamless system solutions aligned with our business processes and requirements.
What will you be doing?
- Lead configuration and customization of Netsuite and related applications
- Support the implementation of new financial systems as needed (i.e. Blackline, Workiva, Expensify, Planful, etc.)
- Provide ongoing technical support and system maintenance (including training and user requests for custom searches, reports, business KPIs, and dashboards)
- Analyse business processes, and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
- Perform system testing, including functional, integration, and regression testing, to ensure the quality and accuracy of solutions.
- Assist in data migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, and loading into applications.
- Drive business process improvements with a focus on automation
- Own the chart of accounts and structure and hierarchy maintenance
- Design controls and ensure operating effectiveness
- Create and maintain standardised reporting for Accounting and Finance
- Drive all phases of the application project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Analyse existing processes, and recommend solutions that align with Netsuite best practices.
- Provide end-user training and support, including preparing training materials, conducting training sessions, and addressing user questions and issues
- Assess, design and propose process improvements and analyses influencing business partners and finance leaders to drive positive change in the business
- Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment, balancing execution of critical deliverables across the team
What will make you a great fit?
- Solid experience managing Netsuite projects - deep understanding of and ability to develop, build and customise the platform
- Proficient with ERP systems (NetSuite) and business processes (Procure to Pay, Record to Report, etc.)
- Strong project management experience including the ability to simultaneously manage several projects
- Commitment to meet deadlines and ability to effectively manage competing work priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively and to make effective and persuasive presentations on technical or complex matters to all levels
- Experience working in a fast paced environment ideally within a start up or rapid growth company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field, advanced degree preferred. Licensed CPA/CMA a plus.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
