The Role
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on professional specialised in Health and Safety and Risk Prevention in Spain. Reporting to the Workplace Manager, you will be the go-to person for every TravelPerker with any Health and Safety related issue. What will you be doing?
- Build our own Health & Safety in-house department from scratch.
- Manage the Health & Safety of both remote and onsite workers.
- Shape, implement, and manage our Health & Safety strategy and coordinate with the applicable H&S external provider, when needed, to make sure the company is fully compliant (medical checks campaign and more).
- Help us take care of the emotional well-being of employees and psychological well-being by doing your research across the different departments, monitoring trends, and proposing specific actions.
- Build a policy and guidelines inventory that fosters our community’s well-being, work-life balance, and right to digital disconnection.
- Coordinate or deliver training and raise Health & Safety awareness campaigns for community members.
- Helping the business adapt the workplace and work conditions for people with special needs due to disability, illness, or other specific conditions or circumstances.
- Proactively propose new measures to improve our Health & Safety standards.
What will you need to succeed?
- Possess strong knowledge and experience in an H&S role in Spain. Ideally, have an in-depth understanding of essential/relevant EU H&S legislation.
- Possess A Tecnico Superior PRL or any other relevant certificate.
- Be an excellent communicator in both English and Spanish.
- Be self-motivated and able to lead a team effectively.
- Used to operating and engaging across all levels of the organisation.
- Possess a track record of driving significant change through an operation.
- Experience working within a fast pace, ever-changing environment
- Be detail-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
- You’re resilient, cheerful, optimistic and enthusiastic. And a sense of humour to go with it! Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Have outstanding organisational and time management skills; can adhere to tight deadlines, multi-task, maintain confidentiality and adhere to company standards of ethics.
- Tech savviness! You don’t need to be an engineer but curious by nature - you enjoy technology and new tools, and if you don’t know how to do something, you find your way!
- You’re an owner. You are highly reliable in your delivery and communication and can work independently with limited supervision.
- Be flexible to adaptable. When necessary, you can self-educate on complex topics in a matter of days.
