Tigris is a globally distributed S3-compatible object storage service that provides low latency anywhere in the world, enabling developers to store and access any amount of data for a wide range of use cases.

Below is the type of content we write and would like to write:

1. Technical documentation that provides users with the necessary information to use Tigris. We believe that without documentation, the product will never be complete.
2. Engineering blog that provides information about the product and its inner workings, with the audience being developers and curious minds.
3. We would like framework blogs similar to the ones here that provide language framework-specific content for the benefit of devs. Our target users care about Phoenix, Ruby on Rails, Laravel, and Django frameworks.
4. Posts on community forums and social media.

Job Responsibilities

Here’s what you’d be doing in this role:

• Surveying our existing documentation, identifying and closing gaps, and learning about the product as needed.
• Working with our engineering team to spot opportunities for public writing about features we’re working on, the inner workings of our product, the technology ecosystem we fit into, or anything else that might be interesting for the dev community.
• Working with our design team to create materials that communicate deeply technical ideas in cogent and appealing ways.
• Interacting with users on the community forum. This is a great way to learn about how customers are experiencing our platform and where we could communicate better through docs.
• Proofread and copy-edit existing content and any content written by the engineering team.

We believe writing to be a core function of the company and are willing to make the necessary investments for success.

Desired Qualifications

• Can write excellent English, but know when to be informal.
• Ability to arrange technical information into a logical, easy-to-digest content piece.
• Be strictly dev-focused with the content and avoid marketing buzzwords.
• Enjoy being autonomous while being collaborative.
• Comfortable with programming with a high-level language like Ruby, Python, or Javascript.
• Happy diving into GitHub repos and talking to devs to get the goods.
• Love learning new things, and have the ability to juggle content covering different areas simultaneously.
• Comfortable with the idea of a high-profile role working in public communicating directly with our users.
