The Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an SMB Account Executive to join our team at ThoughtSpot. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional looking to build their career in SaaS sales. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of closing experience, a passion for helping customers solve business challenges, and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
You'll work with small and medium-sized businesses, helping them understand the value of ThoughtSpot's AI-powered analytics platform. We're looking for someone who is curious, coachable, driven, and excited to develop their sales skills while contributing to a high-performing team.

AI Mindset for SMB
- Leverage AI-powered sales tools to identify, prioritize, and engage prospective customers efficiently.
- Use AI-driven insights to personalize outreach and tailor value propositions to customer needs.
- Experiment with emerging AI and automation tools to improve productivity, pipeline generation, and sales effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, sales development, and customer success teams to optimize the customer journey.
- Continuously learn and adapt as new technologies and best practices emerge.
- Own a territory of SMB accounts with a focus on acquiring new ThoughtSpot customers.
- Prospect and generate pipeline through outbound outreach, inbound lead follow-up, and partner collaboration.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand customer goals, challenges, and business needs.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and communicate ThoughtSpot's value proposition.
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial engagement to close.
- Build relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data within CRM systems.
- Consistently work toward achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
- 1+ year of quota-carrying closing experience in a SaaS, technology, or business-to-business sales environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage opportunities and close business.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated, coachable, and eager to learn.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates and cross-functional partners.
- A growth mindset and desire to build a long-term career in sales.
- Experience using sales tools, CRM platforms, and AI-powered productivity solutions is a plus.
- Ability to leverage data and insights to prioritize accounts and drive pipeline growth.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in SaaS, analytics, business intelligence, or data-related technologies is a plus.
- Experience with outbound prospecting and pipeline generation.
Spotters are expected to demonstrate AI literacy and workflow integration to include to ability to:
- Comfortably and confidently integrate artificial intelligence into their daily workflow to increase productivity and quality.
- Hands-on experience to leverage AI tools (industry-leading LLMs) to increase productivity, automate routine tasks, and improve work quality.
- Speak to the experience of using AI for research, content creation, and document summarization while maintaining ownership of judgment and final decisions.
- Write effective prompts to get the most accurate and creative results from AI tools.
- Curiosity in exploring new AI tools
- Adaptability to quickly learn and implement new, emerging AI technologies
- Critical thinking to know when to identify when AI should be used versus when human judgement is necessary
