What’s The Role?

At ThoughtSpot, we’re building the future of analytics. Our mission is to make data accessible and actionable for everyone, and that starts with a world-class engineering team. The Helios team is driving the evolution of ThoughtSpot’s architecture.

If you’re excited by the idea of:

  • Architecting systems that redefine scalability and developer experience

  • Transition ThoughtSpot’s architecture toward a highly scalable, modular, and cloud-native design.

  • Collaborating with a team that values innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.

  • Working on a platform that powers insights for some of the world’s biggest companies...

We’d love to hear from you. Let’s build the future of analytics together.

We’re looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) to help shape the future of North-Star architecture at ThoughtSpot. In this role, you’ll work on building scalable and performant web applications, architecting robust front-end and back-end systems.

What You’ll Do:

ThoughtSpot thrives on solving complex problems at scale, embracing challenges, and navigating ambiguity. We’re not for everyone—but for those who thrive on innovation, adaptability, and a fast-moving environment, this is where you’ll grow and excel.

Before you apply, consider if you can:

  • Pursue growth relentlessly, both in your professional craft and personal knowledge.

  • Adapt quickly to a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment where the pace is measured by impact, not time.

  • Turn ambiguity into clarity by being resourceful, solution-oriented, and resilient in the face of uncertainty.

  • Think critically and bring your unique perspective while embracing diverse opinions to drive progress.

  • Collaborate respectfully, even when there’s disagreement, to find the best solutions and move forward as a team.

  • Thrive in a digital-first workspace, making the most of modern tools and workflows for collaboration and productivity.

As an SMTS engineer, you will:

  • Architect and build: Contribute to designing a scalable, modular, and maintainable full-stack architecture, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end services.

  • Deliver high-performance experiences: Leverage deep expertise in browser fundamentals, HTML5, CSS3, and scalable front-end patterns to create fast, responsive, and visually stunning interfaces.

  • Work across the stack: Contribute to both front-end and back-end development, working with technologies like Node.js and modern databases to build well-integrated, end-to-end solutions.

  • Optimize performance and reliability: Identify and resolve bottlenecks across the stack, ensuring smooth user experiences and scalable back-end services.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with infrastructure teams to drive a cohesive and efficient development process.

What You Bring:

We seek engineers with a strong foundation in full-stack development and a deep understanding of scalable web application architecture.

While front-end expertise is essential, full-stack experience is highly valued—we’re looking for engineers who can architect and optimize both client-side and server-side solutions, contribute to system design discussions, and collaborate effectively across the stack.

At ThoughtSpot, we don't just build products; we build people. Apply today and make your mark.
