We, at ThoughtSpot, are looking for an Lead Automation Engineer. You will build and work with a highly skilled customer experience team whose mission is to alleviate the experience of all ThoughtSpot customers across its products and offerings. This team works with all product, engineering and customer teams across ThoughtSpot, It is responsible for enhancing customer experience by building automation frameworks and tools, defining right quality processes and gates by acting as an owner for QA practices at ThoughtSpot.

Responsibilities:

Oversee release-over-release performance testing activities, benchmarking, triage to identify and address performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Maintain and enhance Performance benchmarking frameworks to ensure their sustainability and effectiveness. Extend API coverage and workflow coverage to enhance the depth and breadth of performance benchmarking. Conduct performance benchmarking for customers, providing recommendations based on cluster sizing and other relevant factors. Engage with customers to address performance issues and service crashes, developing customer profiles to better understand their needs and challenges. Analyze customer-reported defects and issues, identifying trends and patterns to inform future testing and development efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and replicate customer test beds in solution environments. Analyze customer profile, replicate those profile in house as testbed and conduct endurance tests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in Python development, Automation framework & tools development, API automation, scripting.

  • Strong understanding of performance benchmarking methodologies and best practices.

  • Ability to Design and maintain CI/CD jenkins pipelines and experience with groovy script.

  • Good Debugging skills involving distributed systems, preferably on Linux.

  • Prior experience towards building test strategies and tests which are more lean in nature and ability to find critical bugs using automation testing.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Great! If you have these as well:

  • Hands on knowledge on playwright & typescript as well.

  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as locust, Jmeter, Loadrunner.

  • Knowledge of Data warehousing, SQL, query performance
