What is the job?
Our growing Finance & Strategy team is looking for an experienced, strategic and hands-on Manager to support our growing R&D and Product organisations. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference at the ground level of a global, pre-IPO, tech company. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Strategy, this role is critical in supporting the Company’s continued track record of strong growth and driving scalable and efficient operations. This is a high-visibility role that will be involved in supporting the R&D and Product leadership team in a variety of capacities, including product and pricing analytics, budget management, and cloud infrastructure strategy.
What you’ll do:
- Build deep business partner relationships across the R&D organisation and drive cost savings and efficiency improvements, provide primary budget support for all R&D and Product functions
- Lead benchmarking efforts, implement best practices in budgeting and planning for the R&D organisation
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting - analyse financial results, distill key trends, assess current and future business risk, and communicate key messages to stakeholders including senior management, the board, and investors
- Support new product strategy by creating pricing and packaging frameworks, product analytics, and forecasts
- Lead efforts to improve gross margins by enhancing AWS, GCP, and Snowflake infrastructure strategy and cost management
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and teams including Accounting, HR, and Recruiting
- Drive accuracy and consistency in our financial forecasting and help lead IPO and public company readiness efforts
What you bring:
- 6+ years of experience in corporate finance or business partner finance
- Industry experience supporting R&D organisations in a SaaS enterprise software company and leading financial planning processes, experience with cloud infrastructure strategy and cost optimisation
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Skilled at building relationships and influencing at all levels of management and across functions
- Understanding of the high-tech landscape both from a business and technology perspective
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA a plus
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and financial modelling
- Proficient in Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, Coupa and other enterprise software systems
