We, at ThoughtSpot, are looking for an experienced Engineer with strong passion for Security. You will bring a strong background and experience in security solutions, SaaS architecture, application security, and cloud security, and drive rapid improvement to ThoughtSpot services with your curiosity and continuous learning. Your work will be at the core of all services we develop and operate as part ThoughtSpot SaaS. At ThoughtSpot we prioritize the health and safety of our employees, therefore, we will continue to work from anywhere for the rest of 2021. However, if in the future this policy changes, there will be an expectation for onsite work.
What you'll do:
- Architect and implement state-of-the-art security solutions and services for ThoughtSpot SaaS
- Define and help implement strategy and technical roadmap for continuously improving secure SDLC and security posture of our product and services
- Implement frameworks and best practices for securing endpoints, networks, applications, mobile app, infrastructure, and proactive threat detection and mitigation
- Work across service teams to review and provide guidance around security and help resolve identified security and compliance risks
- Help define and manage KPIs to measure and improve health of security initiatives
- Contribute towards achieving various industry certifications and meeting compliance requirements
- Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and lead initiatives across org
What you bring ( One or more of the experiences below and an insatiable desire to build and scale globally):
- Good software development experience ( 3+ yrs fully focused in software development) and total experience of 5+ years
- Strong programming skills - any language - Python, Go, Java. Solid foundation on programing principles
- Security concepts and domain knowledge. Vulnerability management tools, pen-test, familiarity with tools like veracode , Blackduck, OWASP fundamentals, threat-modeling, application security assessment, cloud environment configuration -WAF, understanding of OS level vulnerability management etc
- Experience in cloud-native technologies like containers (Docker), Kubernetes in a hybrid Cloud environment.
- Expertise in delivering security features for SaaS platform
- Expertise in delivering infrastructure as code - configuration/deployment using Terraform /Ansible
