The Role

We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Vice President of Accounting/Corporate Controller who will be responsible for directing the corporate accounting activities and functions, including the financial close process, internal and external reporting, accounting operations, accounting policies and procedures and effectively managing significant interaction and communication cross functionally. We are looking for an individual who values quality, can effectively lead through business transformation, and enjoys working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations: AP, AR, Payroll, Cash Management, Tax, Inventory Control and general accounting
  • Drive month end, quarter end and year end closes
  • Oversee and coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors
  • Develop cash forecasting models and ensure efficiency of banking systems
  • Identify and implement process improvements and simplification initiatives
  • Work closely with the Sr. Director of SEC Reporting to ensure complete and accurate public filings
  • Develop and lead a wholesale customer credit review and collections function
  • Become conversant of business performance narratives and present to key stakeholders, including Board of Directors
  • Improve internal control framework and prepare for 404B SOX audit in 2026
  • Partner closely with the Finance team in identifying and mitigating risk and opportunities throughout the financial planning and close processes
  • Play a lead role in ERP and systems architecture transformation projects
  • Design and direct inventory control activities, including cycle count programs and physical inventory counts
  • Perform technical accounting research and accounting determinations on relevant transactions
  • Oversee and review accounting policies and controls, ensuring GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Oversee components of Risk Management and support ERM program
  • Partner with department heads to ensure key inputs for close are completed efficiently and timely
  • Work with IT team to ensure ERP and other systems meet needs of team and organization
  • Motivate and cultivate the accounting team with an emphasis on learning and improved efficiency

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • CPA
  • Public accounting experience
  • 15+ years experience leading accounting functions and teams
  • Previous experience as Controller, preferably in a public company
  • Familiarity with inventory accounting processes and best practice
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting expertise
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Established and detail orientated self-starter with experience working in a hands-on environment

  • CPG/Retail industry experience

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $196,000 - $270,000. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
