The person in this role is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on the financial health of our business. This position is a perfect fit for someone with strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting, experience in accounting practices for SaaS/technology industries, with prior experience using NetSuite accounting software. This person will be responsible for maintaining Tendo's financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. They will process accounts payable and accounts receivable, manage bank and general ledger reconciliations, and perform month-end closing tasks. Additional responsibilities include drafting and processing ACH/wire payments for vendor payments and processing employee reimbursements.

Job Location
Tendo has hubs in San Francisco, CA; San Diego, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; Chicago, IL; Nashville, TN; and Philadelphia, PA. Candidates may be located in any one of our hub locations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and all balance sheet accounts.
  • Manage cash assets based on current/forecasted cash needs.
  • Prepare, review, and understand financial statements.
  • Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments.
  • Perform account receivable functions, including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data.
  • Review and process employee reimbursements.
  • Organize information for tax return preparation.
  • Coordinate collection and issuance of vendor/contractor W-9s and 1099s, respectively.
  • Track and maintain departmental, office, or special project budgets.
  • Maintain quality historical records by filing documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of corporate accounting experience.
  • General knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficient skills in NetSuite, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Works with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to multitask and manage deliverables in a timely and expedited manner.
  • Excellent communicator and highly responsive to verbal and electronic communications.

Nice to Have

  • Past experience working in SaaS or technology sector.
  • Past experience with expense reimbursement software, like Ramp or Expensify (finance automation platform).
  • Past experience using Carta or a similar equity management and reporting software.
  • Base Salary Range
    $46,750-$63,250
    This salary range is offered with the understanding that final compensation is based on a number of factors including geography and experience. Tendo also offers an equity package, annual bonuses, and benefits.
