Teladoc Health Inc. seeks Senior, Full Stack Software Engineer at its facility located at 155 E 44th Street, 17th Floor, New York, NY 10017.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Own features and systems end-to-end, including technical design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. 6% Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and architectural guidance. 10% Partner with product managers and stakeholders to clarify requirements, influence product decisions, and balance technical tradeoffs. 8%Design and implement backend systems using object-oriented principles where appropriate. 7% Build and integrate internal and external APIs, ensuring reliability and performance at scale 7%. Develop new products in PHP and refactor or extend existing PHP codebases to support growth, new technologies, and integrations. 15% Design database schemas, write and optimize complex SQL queries, and ensure data integrity and performance. 5% Create and optimize complex backend algorithms and services. 5% Profile, debug, and optimize both new and legacy systems. 5% Contribute to frontend functionality using JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and modern libraries and frameworks. 7% Build responsive, cross-device experiences that work across mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms. 10% Champion frequent, fast, and reliable shipping through CI/CD and continuous deployment practices. 5% Actively contribute to an agile engineering environment by improving processes, tooling, and team workflows. REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field. 3 years of experience as a Senior Web Engineer, Full Stack Software Engineer or in an occupation involving customer facing PHP in e-commerce. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Software engineering principles including algorithm design and optimization, data structures implementation, design patterns (MVC), object-oriented programming, code complexity analysis, and software architecture best practices; (2) Full-stack development using PHP/Laravel backend with React frontend, MySQL database design, Eloquent/ORM familiarity, RESTful API development, and Linux server deployment (LAMP/LEMP stack); (3) Developing and maintaining e-commerce web applications, implementing features while ensuring secure transactions, data protection, and intuitive user interfaces; (4) SQL, designing relational DB schemas, and complex queries; (5) Using git in a team environment; and (6) Agile software development with Jira products: participating in sprint planning and retrospectives, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, code review processes, and contributing to team velocity improvements.

RATE OF PAY: $ 137,717.00 - $235,500.00 per year
