Summary of Position

The Associate Practice Manager for Primary Care (P360) will lead a team of care and practice coordinators to ensure the day-to-day success for a 50 state-licensed telemedicine practice with medical providers located remotely nationwide. The Associate Practice Manager works alongside the practice and clinical dyad leadership teams to ensure efficient team workflows, maintaining operational standards, and driving high-quality care coordination to support an optimal member experience in our daily care delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees the operations of the Care Coordination Team

  • Manage daily operational workflows of Care Coordination teams to ensure practice readiness and service level performance.
  • Maintain adequate staffing to meet departmental turnaround time and quality goals through schedule and task list management.
  • Serve as the point of contact for operational escalations related to scheduling, access, onboarding and service recovery.

Ensures outstanding service delivery, quality and timeframes by:

  • Oversees the daily operations of care coordination, provides workflow expertise, and aids to successful delivery of department KPI’s.
  • Ensure superior member experience which may include communicating directly with members via written, telephone, or video communication.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to the Care Coordination team and other internal partners.
  • Manage provider scheduling templates, availability and adjustments in partnership with Senior Practice Manager and Regional Medical Directors.
  • Acts as a point of escalation for troubleshooting provider inquiries and technical issues.
  • Leads effective change management for operational processes and updates staff accordingly.
  • Identify, recommend, and execute process and clinical workflow improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with challenges and problem solving in real time, acting as the point of escalation for members and inter-departmental issues, engaging with key stakeholders as needed
  • Monitor and reporting daily case volumes and Service Levels to department leadership
  • Represent Teladoc Health professionally in communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Approve staff timecards and manage requests for paid time off.
  • Support corporate initiatives and special projects as needed.

Qualifications Expected for Position

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of clinical operations experience within related industry.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting is required.
  • Outpatient experience is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead change in a fast-paced growing organization.
  • Position relies heavily upon communication; must have excellent oral and written communication skills in order to succeed.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment and to be able to meet deadlines under extreme pressure.
  • Must be well-organized and a self-motivator.
  • Works well with others and is a team player. Interacts effectively with staff, employees, managers, and clinicians.
  • Computer skills: must be able to generate reports and documents. Ability to navigate technical challenges and operate within multiple EHRs, as this person will be the one to help clinicians troubleshoot in a virtual setting as needed.
  • Optimal schedule hours will be 7:30am-4pm EST Mon-Fri to support inquiries. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri 8am-9pm EST and Sat 8am-3:30pm EST. Must be available for a 1 in 7 Sat call rotation for support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000- $80,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here Teladoc Health Benefits 2026. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

We follow a Flexible Vacation Policy, intended for rest, relaxation, and personal time. All time off must be approved by your manager prior to use. You will also receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only.
