Summary of Position
The CAN Data Analyst supports key initiatives in data structuring, business intelligence, governance, and report modernization—while helping maintain the health, security, and reliability of our Power BI environment. You’ll work hands-on with SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, and Excel to ensure data accuracy, monitor automated processes, and optimize reporting across the organization.
The insights you generate will directly influence how Canadians access virtual care, supporting improvements in clinical quality, operational efficiency, program performance, and pricing. You’ll work with diverse datasets—including clinical encounter data, operational workflow metrics, and membership and financial information—to help leaders make informed decisions that enhance care delivery and program effectiveness. This is a high-visibility role where your work will have real impact in a fast-moving, mission-driven healthcare environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver analytics, ROI analysis, insights, and data storytelling to support standardized reporting for client and stakeholders.
Build and maintain dashboards and visual reports.
Ensure data quality and accuracy by performing validation checks, investigating anomalies, and developing automated exception and validation reports.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
Collaborate on managing and monitoring the Power BI platform.
Partner with product leaders and cross-functional teams to define KPIs, pricing strategies, and analytical solutions that drive business decisions.
Collaborate on monitoring and managing automation workflows and data refresh processes using Power Automate; help troubleshoot issues, coordinate with technical teams, and maintain workflow documentation.
Document and support data governance processes and best practices.
Support recurring business and customer reporting and provide insight reviews for executives and departments such as operations, sales, marketing, client management, clinical, and product teams.
Assist with documentation and processes for managing report access and permissions across the organization.
Support the migration of legacy reports to modern reporting solutions.

Qualifications Expected for Position
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
Proficiency in SQL (reading and writing queries)
2+ years of experience with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI
Basic understanding of data governance concepts and documentation practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy and clarity
Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage tasks, deadlines, and project deliverables
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Working knowledge of Power Automate
Familiarity with report migration or enterprise reporting tools (e.g., Cognos, Power BI Service, Tableau, Control‑M)
Knowledge of Salesforce reporting
Knowledge of database architecture principles
Work Environment - Hybrid (Toronto Office & Remote)
