Position Summary
The Communications Specialist supports the successful execution of Teladoc Health Canada’s corporate and healthcare provider communication strategies. This role creates clear, engaging, and culturally relevant communications that align with organizational priorities, reinforces the Teladoc Health brand, and strengthens engagement among employees and healthcare providers.
The ideal candidate is a bilingual communicator (English/French) with exceptional writing and editing skills and a strong understanding of how to maintain a consistent brand voice across diverse audiences and channels.
1. Corporate Communications
Support the execution of Teladoc Health Canada’s internal communication strategy and plan in alignment with company messaging, brand standards, and organizational priorities.
Internal Communications Delivery
- Contribute to the development and execution of internal communications plans that inform, engage, and connect employees across Canada.
- Write, edit, translate, and deliver bilingual internal communications including announcements, newsletters, presentations, talking points, and employee updates.
- Draft content that aligns with organizational priorities, reinforces company culture, and supports key initiatives (e.g., town halls, employee newsletter, Teams channels).
- Ensure all employee-facing communications are clear, accurate, culturally relevant, and consistent with Teladoc Health’s global brand voice and messaging.
Platform & Channel Management
- Maintain and update employee-focused digital communication channels, such as SharePoint sites, ensuring information is current, accessible, and well organized.
- Assist with the review and maintenance of the document inventory in SharePoint across all corporate departments (e.g., policies, procedures).
- Manage employee feedback channels to enable clear, timely, and effective two‑way communication between employees and internal stakeholders.
Measurement & Insights
- Track performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click‑through rates, feedback trends) to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication campaigns.
- Provide insights and recommendations to continuously refine strategy and content.
2. Provider Communications
Support the execution of a communication strategy and plan focused on informing, engaging, and recognizing Teladoc Health Canada’s network of healthcare providers.
Content Development for Providers
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to plan and manage the annual provider communications schedule.
- Write, edit, and/or distribute communications tailored for contract healthcare providers (e.g., announcements, process updates, recognition programs).
- Adapt messaging to meet the unique needs, expectations, and cultural context of healthcare providers while maintaining clarity and brand alignment.
- Manage the provider communications intake process, developing on‑brand emails and ensuring accurate distribution through the email automation platform (e.g., Maropost).
- Support the annual provider survey by developing timelines, organizing stakeholder meetings, consolidating feedback, testing the online survey prior to launch, and contributing to the analysis of results.
Provider Channel Management
- Maintain and update provider-facing digital platforms such as the Provider Communication Hub (SharePoint) to ensure they serve as reliable and engaging information sources.
- Oversee provider feedback channels to ensure seamless and responsive two‑way communication between healthcare providers and internal teams
Measurement & Insights
- Monitor provider engagement metrics and track responses to communications.
- Analyze data and provider feedback to support ongoing improvements to communications strategies, content design, and delivery methods helping providers feel informed and valued.
3. Brand Management
Ensure all communications reinforce and elevate the Teladoc Health Canada brand within the Canadian market, maintaining consistency with global standards while addressing the needs of local audiences.
Brand Alignment & Voice
- Ensure every communication, internal or provider-focused, adheres to the Teladoc Health brand identity, values, tone, and messaging standards.
- Create content that is culturally relevant, inclusive, and reflective of the Canadian market while remaining aligned with global direction.
- Uphold high writing, editing, and proofreading standards across all content formats.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Manage brand assets, the employee newsletter, and other branding-relevant content on the MarCom Team Hub (SharePoint).
- Support the application of brand guidelines across materials (e.g. town hall, employee newsletter, provider email communications).
Tools & Creative Support
- Use digital content creation tools (e.g., SharePoint, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Maropost) to produce visually aligned and on-brand communications.
- Support the creation of templates and reusable assets that promote consistency.
Qualifications Expected for Position
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in internal or corporate communications
- Fluency in English and French (written and verbal) strongly preferred
- Exceptional writing, editing, translating, and proofreading skills in both languages
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), including strong formatting, template creation, and presentation design skills to support high‑quality communication deliverables
- Experience with digital communication platforms and tools including SharePoint, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and email automation platforms (e.g., Maropost)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Experience in employee or healthcare provider communications preferred
- Familiarity with analytics tools that measure communication engagement preferred
