Summary of Position

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong background in general ledger (GL) accounting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in revenue recognition, lease accounting, prepaid expense management, operating expense (Opex) accruals, and fluctuation analysis. This role involves executing month-end close procedures, preparing financial statements, supporting audits and SOX compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, and foreign currency accounting is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, along with exceptional attention to detail and a collaborative mindset. Experience in US GAAP and IFRS standards, working independently, and thriving in a fast-paced environment is required.

What will you do?

- Lead month-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, intangible assets, payroll, debt, and accrued expenses.

- Perform revenue recognition accounting and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

- Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions .

- Assist with ongoing account reconciliation and specific projects, ensuring that general ledger accounts are resolved and reconciled

- Pursue business issues that impact the general ledger and evaluate the situation for acceptable solutions

- Conduct detailed fluctuation and variance analysis to explain financial trends and anomalies.

- Prepare monthly financial statements including income statements, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

- Assist with complex consolidations and intercompany entries across multiple currencies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize accounting processes and uphold compliance.

- Support external audits and ensure successful audit outcomes and SOX compliance.

- Apply accounting procedures for accruals, deferrals, bank reconciliations, and closing processes.

- Analyze data to draw logical conclusions and recommend effective courses of action.

- Develop and improve accounting methods and techniques.

- Interpret and apply accounting and auditing concepts accurately.

- Initiate, plan, and complete work assignments independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

● 5-7 years of experience in accounting.

● Solid understanding of the accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.

● Strong mathematical skills.

● Superb time management and detail orientation.

● Proficiency with Google Drive, Google Sheet, Excel.

● Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.

● High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
